The Bargaining Committee will research and draft proposals as well as negotiating a contract with the administration’s bargaining team. Your AFT-MI staff representative, Alyssa Picard, will be working extensively with this committee. Fifteen members are needed for this committee. Contact Alex at areusing@aftmichigan.org for more information.
The Constitution Committee will draft the constitution that governs policies, procedures, membership rights, voting rights and union dues of the organization. At least six members are needed for this committee. Contact Eric at elindemier@aftmichigan.org for more information.
The Organizing Committee will ensure a strong union by encouraging high levels of member participation in day-to-day activities of the union, membership meetings, and rallies. At least eight members are needed for this committee. Contact Angela at amishler@aftmichigan.org for more information.
The Stewards’ Council is one of the governing bodies of the union and is the key structure through which the union facilitates member-to-member contact.
